It’s been a while since I posted an update but it’s not because I’ve been lazy. I’ve been head down, into my keyboard, typing away. Hero to the Republic is steaming along at a great speed and I’m very pleased with the product thus far.

I’ve gotten about 36,000 words on the page at this point and I’m not even 25% into the story. This book could be very, very big. We’ll see how much survives the editing process but I’m almost a little concerned the book will be too big. You know I like my novels fast-paced with very little fat.

I’ve got this week left to make a major milestone in the book and then I’ll be taking a little time off for the holidays that coincides nicely with my wife’s vacation. We’re not going anywhere (other than to local friends and family), so I could occasionally peek inside my newest novel but I don’t expect to get much done until the new year.

Not getting much done might include blog updates, so, I hope everyone enjoys their Winter and happy holidays!
